Good work!

Happy Pi Day everyone, I hope you all had a great one.
I went and bought a big Coconut Cream Pie to share with all my friends. But, everyone I know is trying to not eat too many fatty foods, so I ended up eating most of it myself! Delicious!

Ah, I miss Pi Day. And my old students too.

Hey, I got some news for all of you.
I got engaged!

(Like my hair?)

Wednesday, March 14, 2007

Oh oh oh.

Do you know what tomorrow is?

Happy New Year

Wow, I sure haven't stopped by the ol' Xanga in a while. What with everyone on myspace, facebook, and all the other sites out there.

How you doing, Xanga? Remember me?

I sure hope everyone's having a great 2007 so far. I sure am. I can feel big things in store for this year. You know, I've always been a little partial to years that are either divisible by 4 or have the number 7 in them. So these next two years are gonna be great, right?

And thank you, thank you, thank you to all my former students who keep coming back to this site.

Oh, and Nina, don't sweat high school math. It's easy, it's just the teachers who sometimes make it seem harder than it should be. I'll let you in on a little secret. I failed one of my high school Calculus courses. And now I teach it! Ha ha!

teddy chao

School's Out!

Whoo-hoo!
School's done!

Well, actually, I've been out of school for quite some time, and I just finished my first semester of summer school.

But ain't it great to be out of school? What a great feeling, huh?

Congrats to all the 8th graders out there who are now done with Middle School! Good going!
(Honestly, when you're done with middle school, you can look back at it
and say things like, "Wow. I sure am glad I'm not in middle school
anymore.")
What a fun trip back to NYC.
The best part was visiting IS318 and getting a chance to teach in my
old classroom with my old class! Brought back so many memories, I got a
little emotional and kind of forgot what I was teaching a couple of
times.

You know, being away from the classroom for the last year, I've
realized how rusty my teaching skills have gotten. I'm glad my students
stayed attentive, even until the end. I remember how hard it is on the
last couple periods of Friday to stay focused.

Oh well, here's a picture I found of my old classroom. Look familiar?

And, thanks American100, for stopping by 318 to say hi. You made the visit out there all the more fun.

Have fun with the rest of the year! And to all my old 7th graders, have
fun in High School next year! Let me know what you're up to. Feel free
to hit me up: teddychao@yahoo.com

Later.

Boy, I'm looking forward to being back in NYC. And especially seeing all the good people at I.S. 318!

Oh, look what I found! Here's a picture of me from 4th grade. Don't I look the same? (I'm the one with the binoculars).
Hope you guys had a great weekend.

I sure had a great time celebrating Easter!
Plus, I ate a lot of food too.

Wow, I'm a little sad that I don't
get to celebrate Pi Day with all my favorite students. But oh well, I
did some celebrating of my own today anyway.

I went to Mexico!

But, alas, in my short time in
Progreso, Mexico (I was only there for about an hour), I couldn't find
any pie. All I could find was a lot of delicous Lonches (fried bread
sandwiches), Tacos, and delicous Elote corn with mayonaise and cheese.
But no pie!

I had a blast anyway, especially
noticing how amazing Mexican culture is. Hope your Pi day is as fun as
mine, and you even get a chance to eat some pie!
I'm going to try to get some pie tonight.

You know, I did buy myself a delicous vegetarian pot pie for tonight.
But I couldn't help it and ate the whole thing on Sunday. (Yes, if you
didn't already know, misterchao eats a lot, especially pies.)

Viva la Mexico!
Y'all guessed right!
This Tuesday is Pi Day!

Oh yeah, my favorite day of all. I'll actually be in a middle-school
right next to the Mexican border. I wonder if they'll celebrate Pi day.
Hmm . . .

Well, in celebration, I've thrown up one of my old websites that I built so long ago. It's my Pi Day website. http://www.madteds.com/pi
It looks almost as good now as when I built it years ago. (but some of the buttons don't work anymore, oh well.)

Shout outs to all the great kids who keep bumping into this silly
xanga. Aggy, Dawn, Jon, Melody, Edwin, the student formally known as
Roberto, Julia, Sean, Kiara, Lenny, even the fabulous Ms. Flores. Much
love from Texas.

And eat that pie!

March. My favorite month.

Anyone remember why?

I'll give you a hint, it involves a delicious fresh-baked pastry dessert.
And this year, we're celebrating the 300th anniversary of this wonderful number!

hope you remember, it's my favorite holiday!
